Overview

Meetsta is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps / DevSecOps - Founding Engineer to play a pivotal role in establishing our engineering infrastructure. In this position, you will collaborate closely with our development and operations teams to implement best practices in streamlined software development, deployment, and security processes. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building a robust, scalable, and secure architecture that supports our platform's growth and performance needs while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will enable our team to deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently and effectively.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes and enhance continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Ensure application security by integrating security practices within the development pipeline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement measurable best practices for development and operations.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize applications for maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to safeguard infrastructure.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers in DevOps practices and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role, with a strong emphasis on security practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Knowledge of network security practices, firewalls, and security protocols.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.
