Overview

The Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Patterned Learning Career will play a pivotal role in enhancing the availability, performance, and reliability of our web-based services. Job Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting the performance and reliability of services.
• Assist in incident response and post-mortem reviews to improve operational processes.
• Support deployment processes and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure systems are designed with reliability and scale in mind.
• Document system configurations and operational procedures for knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Technologies & Tools

The Junior Site Reliability Engineer will engage with a variety of technologies and tools including cloud services such as AWS or Azure, container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI, and monitoring systems such as Prometheus or Grafana.
