Accountant II – Insurance Industry

The Accountant II is responsible for a broad spectrum of key functions within the Finance Department, having responsibility for applying accounting principles and procedures in the analysis of financial information and for the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial, regulatory and statistical reports that maintain adherence to appropriate accounting control procedures. This position will also play a supporting role in the planning and budget process by providing key data for Financial Planning and Analysis to be able to maintain and update budget and forecast models. This will include, but is not limited to, completing ad hoc analysis to demonstrate the financial impact of alternative strategies and providing variance reporting to stakeholders.

This position will be based out of our Sioux Falls, SD office location, and offers a hybrid work from home opportunity.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a business environment.
• Experience in generating financial reports and analyzing financial statements is requested
• Experience in maintaining budgets and forecasts is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
