Accounting Supervisor

Are you an experienced accounting professional who loves mentoring a team and driving month-end excellence? We are partnering with a premier, nationally recognized organization in Jacksonville that is actively growing and looking for a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to join their leadership team!

In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day GL operations, streamline close cycles, and lead a dedicated team of accounting professionals in a collaborative, mission-driven culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead & Mentor: Supervise and develop a talented GL accounting staff—fostering high performance and team growth.
• Own the Close: Drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timely reporting, and variance analysis.
• Financial Oversight: Manage balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany transactions, and chart of accounts maintenance in accordance with GAAP.
• Audit & Controls: Maintain strong internal controls and partner cross-functionally to support internal/external audits.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Leadership: Proven hands-on supervisory or team lead experience with direct reports.
• Industry/Credentials: Healthcare industry experience and/or CPA license is a plus, not a requirement (public accounting background is also welcomed!).
• Mindset: A proactive problem-solver who takes initiative, collaborates well cross-functionally, and thrives in a supportive environment.
