We are seeking an experienced Agentic AI Engineer with strong Java development skills and hands-on experience building AI-powered agents and autonomous workflows. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade agentic AI applications using Java, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI orchestration frameworks.

The candidate should have experience integrating AI capabilities into Java-based enterprise applications, building intelligent agents that can reason, use tools, interact with APIs, and execute multi-step tasks with appropriate human oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy agentic AI applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, decision-making, and executing multi-step workflows.
• Integrate LLMs such as OpenAI GPT, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or other enterprise AI models.
• Develop agent orchestration and tool-calling workflows using frameworks such as LangChain4j, Spring AI, or other agentic AI frameworks.
• Implement RAG pipelines using vector databases, embeddings, document retrieval, and semantic search.
• Integrate AI agents with REST APIs, enterprise systems, databases, and external tools.
• Develop multi-agent workflows for task delegation, collaboration, and automated problem-solving.
• Implement memory management, context handling, prompt engineering, and structured output generation.
• Build secure, scalable, and reliable AI services using microservices architecture.
• Implement guardrails, access controls, validation, observability, and human-in-the-loop approval mechanisms.
• Optimize model performance, response latency, token consumption, and application costs.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineering teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
• Experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs.
• Practical knowledge of agentic AI concepts, including autonomous agents, tool calling, planning, and workflow orchestration.
• Experience with LangChain4j, Spring AI, or similar Java-compatible AI frameworks.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, function calling, and structured outputs.
• Experience implementing RAG using embedding models and vector databases.
• Knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, Elasticsearch, or PostgreSQL with pgvector.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of AI security, responsible AI, data privacy, and model evaluation.
