Working for a leader in CPG and iconic brands on an internal "AI Pod" on a 6-month project to work across teams in AI discovery. Working alongside the Forward Deployed AI Engineer we are also hiring on the same project.

Position Overview
The AI Solutions Architect is the lead architect and business-facing technical partner within the Digital IT team. The role works directly with business teams to understand their processes, workflows, data, controls, pain points, and performance measures, then translates that understanding into secure, scalable AI solutions. The architect owns structured discovery, solution architecture, technical direction, and design assurance across applications, AI agents, web applications, integrations, and data-enabled services built on Azure AI Foundry and the broader Azure platform. This is a hands-on architecture role: the architect must be fully capable of building, deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining the same solutions as the Forward Deployed / AI Engineer when delivery needs require it.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business and technical discovery workshops to identify high-value AI opportunities and translate them into actionable solution designs.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Digital IT team and stakeholders to define end-to-end architectures including data flow, integration patterns, and operational models.
• Design and architect solutions leveraging Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and other cloud-native AI capabilities.
• Develop and validate prototypes and proofs-of-concept that demonstrate feasibility, ROI, and production readiness for GenAI, RAG, and AI agent solutions.
• Define and implement LLM-focused MLOps and prompt engineering practices, including testing, versioning, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Specify security, compliance, and governance controls for AI/ML workloads, including data protection, access controls, auditability, and model risk management.
• Build deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines for models and services using Infrastructure as Code, containers, and orchestration platforms when appropriate.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to produce high-quality, maintainable code and integrations using Python, C#, .NET, and TypeScript as required.
• Provide technical leadership during technical discovery, build, and deploy phases; review designs, run architecture tradeoffs, and remove blockers.
• Document solution designs, runbooks, cost estimates, and acceptance criteria; coach and mentor internal teams on operationalizing AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or related roles with a strong focus on AI/ML solutions.
• Proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end enterprise architectures for AI/GenAI projects, including production deployments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure Data, AKS) and cloud architecture patterns.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and GenAI best practices.
• Practical MLOps experience: model training pipelines, versioning, monitoring, deployment, and CI/CD for models and services.
• Strong programming skills in Python and at least one of C#/.NET or TypeScript; experience building integrations and microservices.
• Experience defining and implementing security, governance, and compliance controls for AI/ML systems.
• Track record of conducting technical discovery and identifying high-value business opportunities and measurable ROI.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer) and a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
