Job Description
Longevity Partners is a global, independent sustainability partner to real asset stakeholders, with strategy, finance, design, and engineering under one roof. By combining technical expertise with commercial insight, we help investors, developers, and occupiers translate sustainability ambition into practical action across the asset lifecycle.
Our team of 100+ sustainability professionals works across the full asset lifecycle, from acquisition through to exit, on projects spanning more than 45 countries across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. We combine global insight with deep regional expertise, helping clients navigate local regulations and market dynamics to unlock value, reduce risk, and accelerate the transition to a resilient, sustainable future.
Our Values
Our work is guided by six core values: One Team, Client Focus, Accountability, Curiosity, Innovation and Integrity. These shape how we work with each other and with our clients, and we look for people who share that same commitment to doing things the right way.
The Role
We’re looking for a technical, analytically minded Analyst to join our US team and help real estate owners, investors, and operators decarbonize their portfolios, strengthen their climate resilience, and report with confidence. This is a full-time client-facing role focused on data analytics and modeling.
The ideal candidate brings together building performance and energy knowledge, a strong command of ESG frameworks and strategy, and the technical skills to work with large datasets and turn them into clear insight. If you’ve built experience across several of these areas, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll DoBuilding performance, energy and emissions
Collect, clean, and analyze energy, water, waste, and emissions data across commercial, industrial, retail, data center, and residential real estate portfolios.
Benchmark building performance using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and assess compliance against local benchmarking and building performance standards (e.g., NYC Local Law 97, Boston BERDO, Energize Denver, and others).
Calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions in line with the GHG Protocol, applying US grid emissions factors (EPA eGRID, location- and market-based methods) and tracking how grid decarbonization affects portfolio pathways.
Evaluate energy efficiency, electrification, and renewable energy opportunities, including on-site solar, PPAs, community solar, and REC strategies.
Strategy, reporting and climate resilience
Support client submissions and score-improvement strategies for GRESB, CDP, and UN PRI.
Build net zero and decarbonization pathways using tools such as CRREM, and support science-based target setting (SBTi).
Conduct climate resilience and physical and transition risk assessments, including scenario analysis aligned with TCFD/ISSB-style frameworks.
Track evolving US disclosure requirements and building regulations, and translate them into practical guidance for clients.
Assess buildings and portfolios against green building certification standards (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, ENERGY STAR, WELL, Fitwel), including gap analyses, credit feasibility, and certification roadmaps aligned with client goals.
Business cases and financial analysis
Work as a team to build capital spending plans and financial proposals for decarbonization, efficiency, and renewable energy projects, including costs, savings, payback, and life cycle cost analysis.
Support presentation of investment cases to asset managers, portfolio managers, and other non-technical decision-makers.
Data, analytics and AI
Work with large, complex portfolio datasets, using Python or R, Microsoft Excel, and AI tools to analyze them accurately and efficiently.
Turn results into clear, digestible insights, visuals, and user-friendly dashboards for senior stakeholders and client audiences, including investors and institutional real estate owners.
Delivery
Prepare clear, high-quality deliverables, including Excel dashboards, technical analyses, reports, and presentation decks, and present findings and recommendations to clients.
Support project management activities such as schedules, client agendas, and meeting materials.
Work closely with senior consultants and project managers on client engagements across the US.
What We’re Looking ForRequired
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, energy, sustainability, data science, real estate, finance, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in sustainability consulting, energy, real estate, or a technical data analytics role.
Strong technical and analytical skills, including advanced Excel capabilities and comfortable working with large, messy datasets.
Solid knowledge of commercial real estate and building resource usage: building systems, energy and water use, carbon emissions, utility data, benchmarking, and building performance standards.
Working knowledge of US grid emissions and GHG accounting methodology.
A strong grasp of ESG topics and strategy, including decarbonization, climate risk and resilience, and sustainability reporting.
Hands-on, practical experience using AI tools to improve the quality and speed of your work.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, decision-oriented briefs for non-technical audiences.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Based in the United States and authorized to work in the US.
Preferred
Coding experience in Python and/or R, particularly for analyzing large datasets and presenting results to senior and client audiences.
Fluency in ESG data platforms, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Experience building financial cases for sustainability or energy projects (e.g., capex plans, payback, life cycle cost analysis).
Direct experience with GRESB, CDP, or UN PRI submissions or assessments.
Background in building performance, energy sourcing, or renewables (e.g., utilities, energy services, solar or storage development, energy procurement).
Understanding of green building certification frameworks such as LEED or BREEAM, or related credentials (e.g., LEED AP or Green Associate, BREEAM AP, CEM).
Familiarity with CRREM, SBTi, PCAF, or climate risk analytics.
Consulting experience, particularly with real estate investors, owners, or operators.
Don’t meet every point? This profile spans several disciplines, and we don’t expect anyone to tick every box. If you’re strong in the core technical and real estate areas and excited to grow in the others, please apply.
