Application Support Engineer

Hybrid 4 days onsite in Berwyn, PA

Our client seeks an Application Support professional focused on Tier 2 and Tier 3 level production support. The role requires reading Java code, troubleshooting failures, investigating production issues, performing root cause analysis, recommending fixes, and collaborating with engineering. The position is not a production monitoring analyst role and is intended to grow into engineering responsibilities over time.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $50.00 to $60.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Java code to support applications.
• Troubleshoot code failures and production defects.
• Investigate production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Recommend fixes and partner with engineering for implementation.
• Create and run SQL queries to support investigations.
• Leverage scripting for diagnostics and automation.
• Support enterprise systems in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 capacity.

Experience Requirements

• 1 to 3 years in application support or production support.
• 3 to 10 years in full stack engineering is beneficial.
• Hands-on Java and SQL experience.
• Proficiency with debugging and root cause analysis.
• Scripting experience for tooling or automation.
• Background supporting enterprise-scale applications.
