Automation Engineer

Role: Selenium Automation Tester

Location: Charlotte, NC – Onsite

Fulltime – Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
• Create and execute test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.
• Perform cross-browser testing to ensure application compatibility.
• Identify, document, track, and report software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and testing scenarios.
• Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Execute test suites, analyze test results, and prepare test execution reports.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Maintain test documentation and ensure adequate test coverage.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong programming knowledge in Java or Python.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.
• Knowledge of XPath, CSS selectors, DOM, and web element handling.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle for build management.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman or REST Assured is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and CI/CD automation is preferred.
