Overview

The AWS Cloud Data Engineer will play a critical role in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architecture in a cloud environment. Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust cloud-based data architecture solutions on AWS.
• Create and manage ETL processes to ensure data is accurately and efficiently transformed and loaded into data warehouses.
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and ensure effective data accessibility.
• Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information within cloud environments.
• Work with various AWS services, including S3, Redshift, Glue, and Lambda, to create and manage data lakes and warehouses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including but not limited to PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Knowledge of AWS data services and best practices for security, performance, and cost optimization.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Technologies & Tools

The AWS Cloud Data Engineer will utilize a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud architecture, Amazon S3 for data storage, AWS Glue for ETL management, Amazon Redshift for data warehousing, and Python or Java for programming tasks.
