Overview

The AWS Cloud Migrations Engineer at TAD PGS, Inc. is responsible for leading and executing comprehensive migration projects from on-premises infrastructure to AWS cloud platforms. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud architecture solutions on AWS for various applications.
• Conduct migration assessments to determine optimal strategies for moving workloads to AWS.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to align migration processes with organizational goals.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, security, and cost efficiency post-migration.
• Provide technical support and guidance during the migration process to ensure successful deployment.
• Create and maintain documentation related to migration processes and cloud infrastructures.
• Stay updated on AWS trends and cloud technologies to recommend appropriate tools and methods for enhancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, specifically with AWS.
• Proficiency in migration tools and techniques, particularly AWS CloudFormation and AWS Migration Hub.
• Strong understanding of networking, application integration, and security protocols in cloud environments.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Relevant AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are a plus.

Technologies & Tools

The AWS Cloud Migrations Engineer will utilize various technologies and tools including, but not limited to, AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, as well as migration tools like AWS Database Migration Service and AWS Snowball. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting will also be beneficial for automating tasks and deployments.
