Position Summary

NC FAST is seeking a DevOps Automation Engineer to lead infrastructure provisioning, application build, and deployment automation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWS infrastructure, Ansible automation, Linux administration, and CI/CD processes.

The role focuses on developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks, troubleshooting automation issues, ensuring reliable deployments across environments, and improving software engineering and release management practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead automation activities for infrastructure provisioning, application builds, and deployments.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks.
• Utilize Ansible Tower/AWX to manage automation workflows.
• Support AWS infrastructure and Linux-based environments.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and automate application deployment processes.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, deployment teams, and Database Administrators.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and validate system configurations.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and automation best practices.
• Improve continuous integration, continuous deployment, and software release processes.
• Ensure consistent, reliable, and repeatable deployments across environments.
