Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Platform Architect to join our remote team at Perficient. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available and scalable architectures in AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Conduct cloud architecture assessments to identify potential risks and performance bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation and diagrams to formalize cloud solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and support for cloud-related initiatives and projects.
• Integrate AWS services into existing applications while maximizing service reliability.
• Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies impacting AWS services and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture with an emphasis on AWS.
• Strong understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification is highly preferred.

Technologies & Tools

The AWS Platform Architect will leverage a wide range of technologies and tools, including but not limited to AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS CLI, and various AWS services tailored to deploy and manage applications in the cloud. Additionally, experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and third-party solutions will be essential for ensuring optimal application performance and reliability.
