Job Overview

Perficient is seeking an experienced AWS Platform Architect to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud solutions on the AWS platform while ensuring best practices in architecture and security. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based solutions on the AWS platform that meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture blueprints and documentation.
• Lead and mentor teams in best practices of AWS architecture and platform management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize performance, enhance scalability, and ensure reliability of cloud resources.
• Evaluate and implement new AWS services and technologies to enhance architecture.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and security best practices throughout AWS implementations.
• Conduct architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Provide troubleshooting and operational support for cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture with a focus on AWS technologies.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
• Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Python or Bash, for automation purposes.
• Knowledge of networking and security fundamentals in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Technologies & Tools

This position primarily utilizes a range of technologies and tools including but not limited to AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS), Terraform for infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline, monitoring tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog, and security tools for managing IAM and encryption solutions.
