Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable architecture solutions in AWS that address business needs.
• Implement best practices for security, reliability, and cost performance in cloud deployments.
• Conduct cloud architecture reviews and offer recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate AWS services in applications, ensuring they follow architectural guidelines.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and performance to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Document architecture designs, guidelines, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
• Stay current with AWS offerings and emerging technologies to ensure alignment with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud solutions on AWS.
• Strong understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) are highly desirable.

Technologies & Tools

The AWS Platform Architect will primarily work with AWS platform services including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation. Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, as well as monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch and ELK Stack, is essential for effective management of cloud-based applications.
