AWS Technical Lead/Sr. Java/Angular Developer

For our client, we are seeking a AWS Technical Lead/Sr. Java/Angular Developer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will provide technical leadership for a distributed Agile team while staying deeply engaged in hands-on development and architecture. You will help translate business and customer needs into scalable technical solutions and guide the delivery of modern enterprise applications deployed in the cloud. The position also serves as a key bridge between stakeholders and the development team to ensure strong execution, security, and observability.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $131,750 – $178,250 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a distributed Agile development team while remaining hands-on with architecture and development
• Serve as a key technical point of contact between the development team and stakeholders
• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular
• Provide technical leadership for AWS-deployed applications, focusing on architecture and security
• Build and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Amazon ECS
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofu and CI/CD pipelines
  
  

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience in Agile environments
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience as a Technical Lead or equivalent
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot
• Experience developing modern web applications using Angular/TypeScript
• 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience with production workloads
• AWS Certified Developer - Associate or higher certification required
• Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, and observability
