Overview

Tiber Creek Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Azure DevOps / SysOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is open to candidates who can work remotely or from our locations in Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee, requiring an active security clearance. The selected individual will be responsible for implementing and managing infrastructure and deployment pipelines, optimizing performance and reliability, and collaborating closely with development teams to facilitate a seamless integration of development and operations processes within the Azure cloud environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and application performance issues.
• Ensure the security and compliance of systems, integrating security best practices into all deployment activities.
• Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) for repeatable and consistent environments.
• Provide support and maintenance for cloud applications and corresponding infrastructure.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Document processes and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience working in a DevOps or SysOps role, preferably within Azure.
• Active security clearance is required.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, solutions, and deployment models.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and security protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Technologies & Tools

The Azure DevOps / SysOps Engineer will work with a suite of modern tools and technologies, including Azure DevOps Services, Azure Resource Manager, Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, Docker for containerization, and various monitoring and logging solutions such as Azure Monitor and Application Insights. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira may also be beneficial.
