Azure / Microsoft Fabric Solution Architect

Role Description The Azure / Microsoft Fabric Solution Architect will work on-site in Staten Island, NY in a contract role, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to design and implement data and analytics solutions on Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing business requirements, defining solution architectures, and leading the technical design of data platforms, integrations, and reporting environments. The role involves guiding development teams, overseeing implementation and configuration, and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices. The architect will create technical documentation, support troubleshooting, optimize system performance, and advise stakeholders on cloud and data strategy. This position requires frequent collaboration with operations, IT, and leadership to translate business needs into practical, technology-driven solutions.
Qualifications

• Strong Solution Architecture skills, including designing end-to-end Azure and Microsoft Fabric solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Experience in Consulting and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to gather requirements, present solution options, and provide clear technical guidance.
• Background in Software Development, including familiarity with cloud-native applications, data engineering, and scripting or programming languages.
• Proficiency in Integration, such as connecting cloud services, on-premises systems, APIs, and data sources within Azure and Microsoft Fabric ecosystems.
• Understanding of Business Process analysis and optimization to align technology solutions with operational workflows and organizational goals.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Power BI) and Microsoft Fabric components.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams on-site.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer, or similar) are highly beneficial.
