Cash Applications Specialist

Our client is hiring a Cash Applications Specialist in Alpharetta, GA. This is a great spot for a seasoned cash app pro who likes digging into the details and getting the numbers right every day. You’ll own the accurate posting of customer payments and the daily balancing of cash against the general ledger. The team runs on a large ERP and some pretty involved Excel reporting, so your research skills and systems know-how will get used daily. After about two weeks of in-office training, the role moves to a hybrid schedule with three days a week onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Research and apply daily cash receipts to customer accounts accurately, as the customer directs
• Investigate and clear discrepancies like short payments, misapplications, and account questions
• Update complex daily Excel reports and keep management in the loop
• Spot process inefficiencies and recommend practical fixes

• Qualifications:
• 5+ years of cash application experience
• Strong hands-on experience working in a large ERP system
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
• Solid grasp of general accounting principles; CashPro (Bank of America) or similar banking portal experience is a plus
