As a Central Sorting Associate, you'll play an important behind-the-scenes role in supporting our thrift shop operations and helping fund programs that improve the lives of individuals facing aging, chronic illness, and serious health challenges throughout our community.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our donation processing team, you'll help ensure donated items are sorted, organized, and distributed efficiently to support our thrift shop locations and community programs.

In This Role, You Will:

• Sort, organize, and tag donations according to Blue Ridge Care procedures
• Prepare donated items for distribution to thrift shop locations and the warehouse
• Maintain an organized and efficient donation processing area
• Assist thrift shop locations with sorting and tagging clothing donations as needed
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming workspace
• Monitor and communicate supply needs for the donation processing area
• Support warehouse operations by assisting with loading and unloading deliveries
• Work closely with volunteers, providing guidance and support throughout the day
• Collaborate with team members involved in donation intake, sorting, and transportation
• Participate in team meetings and operational discussions
• Take initiative and work independently to complete daily responsibilities
• Represent the mission and values of Blue Ridge Care in every interaction
