Job Description
Crossroads Urology | Lima, Ohio
Full-Time or Part-Time | Outpatient Private Practice
About Crossroads Urology
Crossroads Urology is an independent urology practice serving Lima and surrounding Northwest Ohio communities. Our practice is guided by four pillars: outstanding patient outcomes, an exceptional patient experience, efficient and valuable care, and an outstanding staff and provider experience.
We are seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner who enjoys direct patient care, values teamwork, and wants to contribute to a responsive, physician-led specialty practice. We will consider both full-time and part-time candidates.
About the Position
At Crossroads Urology, we value our nurse practitioners as trusted providers and support a substantial degree of clinical autonomy appropriate to their experience, demonstrated competency, and scope of practice. You will have the opportunity to independently evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing urologic care, with close physician collaboration and support readily available when needed. This role is well suited to a provider who enjoys taking ownership of patient care while working within a supportive team.
The position requires sound clinical judgment, clear communication, dependable follow-through, and the ability to provide thorough care while maintaining an efficient outpatient schedule.
Urology experience is preferred but not required. New graduates with a strong clinical foundation and a demonstrated commitment to learning will also be considered, with autonomy developing alongside experience and competency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive and focused patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, exercising clinical judgment and collaborating with the physician as appropriate.
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing and ensure timely follow-up of results.
- Manage acute and chronic urologic concerns within the provider’s training, credentials, and scope of practice.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, medications, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Support continuity of care through coordination with the physician, clinical staff, referring providers, and other specialists.
- Complete accurate clinical documentation, orders, and patient communications in a timely manner.
- Perform or assist with office procedures as appropriate to training and demonstrated competency.
- Contribute to efficient patient flow, quality improvement, and a respectful team environment.
- Participate in practice call coverage as assigned, with expectations discussed during the interview process.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Current national nurse practitioner certification.
- Current Ohio RN and APRN licensure, or eligibility to obtain required licensure before starting.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and patient education skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and a commitment to timely documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to the needs of a busy specialty practice.
- Urology or related clinical experience preferred.
What We Value
We are looking for a colleague who is dependable, approachable, receptive to feedback, and committed to ongoing learning. The ideal candidate takes ownership of patient care and follow-up, communicates proactively, recognizes when collaboration is needed, and treats patients and coworkers with professionalism and respect.
Why Crossroads Urology?
- Meaningful clinical autonomy supported by accessible physician collaboration.
- Opportunity to develop specialized urology knowledge and procedural skills.
