Role Description The Chef/Cook is a full-time, remote role that involves planning, preparing, and cooking customized meals for senior clients in the Greenville, Anderson, and Spartanburg SC areas. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing client preferences and dietary requirements, creating simple meal plans, shopping for ingredients, and preparing meals in clients’ homes while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. The role also includes labeling and storing meals, offering basic menu guidance, and communicating with clients and the company about schedules, menu changes, and special requests. The Chef/Cook is expected to manage time efficiently, travel to client locations within the region, and represent Chefs for Seniors in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Strong cooking skills with experience in home-style or professional food preparation, including basic menu planning and meal customization.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and safe food handling procedures in residential kitchen settings.
• Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and travel reliably to client homes across Greenville, Anderson, and Spartanburg SC.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with older adults and adapt to diverse needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or prior experience as a cook or chef is preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks or other required screenings.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift groceries, and perform routine kitchen tasks safely.
• Interest in supporting senior well-being and comfort through nutritious, personalized meals.
