Job Description

We are a PE-backed SaaS company providing software solutions to financial services institutions. We've invested heavily in product innovation and are now entering an exciting stage of growth. We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance organization as we grow and expand our customer base, continue to invest in R&D, and explore M&A opportunities.

The CFO will also serve as a primary financial liaison to the company's private equity sponsors, providing transparent reporting, actionable insights, and forward-looking analysis to support investment objectives and long-term value creation. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic financial leadership, strong technical and operational finance capabilities, and experience navigating the complexities of a growing, private equity-backed technology or SaaS business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute financial strategies that support growth, profitability, and long-term value creation.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, evaluating new business initiatives, growth opportunities, investments, and operational improvements.
  • Lead financial analysis and decision support for strategic planning, resource allocation, pricing strategies, and potential M&A opportunities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Technology, and Operations to drive financial accountability and business performance.
  • Lead all financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial and operating models to support strategic decision-making, revenue forecasting, profitability analysis, and cash flow planning.
  • Establish financial and operational KPIs, reporting frameworks, and dashboards to monitor business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze SaaS economics, revenue drivers, customer profitability, and operating leverage to optimize financial performance.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, treasury, cash management, tax, and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls, financial policies, and governance.
  • Optimize financial systems, processes, and infrastructure to support scalability, efficiency, and continued growth.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison to private equity sponsors, providing regular financial reporting, forecasts, and strategic updates.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of board materials, financial performance reviews, and investor reporting packages.
  • Partner with sponsors and executive leadership to execute value creation initiatives focused on revenue growth, EBITDA expansion, and cash flow optimization.
  • Support capital structure management, financing activities, M&A transactions, and potential exit planning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Significant financial leadership experience, ideally within a private equity-backed SaaS, fintech, or technology-enabled business.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, FP&A, strategic planning, and financial operations.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with CEOs, executive leadership teams, boards, and private equity sponsors.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS business models, recurring revenue metrics, unit economics, and financial performance drivers.
  • Proven ability to scale financial infrastructure, optimize processes, and build high-performing teams.
  • Experience driving financial and operational improvements, profitability initiatives, and enterprise value creation.
  • Strong business acumen, executive communication skills, and a hands-on, results-oriented leadership style.
