Cloud Enginee - (Remote, Entry-Level)

Role Description This part-time remote Cloud Engineer (Entry-Level) role supports the company’s technology infrastructure that underpins civil construction and public service projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in the design, deployment, and monitoring of cloud environments, helping maintain and troubleshoot Linux-based systems, and supporting database configuration and basic administration tasks. The role also involves collaborating with more experienced engineers and software developers to implement secure, scalable solutions, documenting configurations and procedures, and participating in routine system checks and performance analysis. As this is a remote position, the Cloud Engineer is expected to communicate effectively with distributed teams, manage tasks independently, and follow established processes and best practices.

Qualifications

• Cloud infrastructure and operations skills, including exposure to Cloud Computing platforms and basic Infrastructure concepts.
• Foundational Software Development skills to support automation, scripting, and integration of cloud services.
• Working knowledge of Linux administration, including command-line usage, system monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Databases, including basic design principles, queries, and performance considerations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and security.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams, and follow documented procedures.
• Interest in infrastructure for civil construction and public-sector projects; prior exposure to engineering or construction environments is a plus.
• Relevant coursework or training in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields; a degree or certification is beneficial but not strictly required for entry-level candidates.
