Cloud ERP Release & Environment Management Lead

Location : Chicago, IL – Remote ( Travel on needed basis)

Role Summary: Owns end-to-end release governance, environment coordination, and upgrade readiness for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and integrated enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage integrated release calendars, release trains, approvals, cutovers, and hypercare.
• Coordinate SAP cloud upgrades, impact assessments, regression testing, and business readiness.
• Govern application environments, configuration synchronization, rebaselining, and merge planning.
• Manage dependencies across integrations, extensions, data, security, workflows, and connected SaaS applications.
• Lead release readiness reviews, production change controls, emergency changes, and deployment verification.
• Track release KPIs, defect leakage, deployment success, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain release plans, environment calendars, configuration baselines, and audit evidence.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, SAP support, and operational handovers.

SAP-Specific Expertise:

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and 3-system landscape.
• SAP Central Business Configuration and configuration synchronization.
• SAP Cloud ALM and enterprise ALM tools.
• SAP Ariba, Fieldglass, BTP/Integration Suite, Deltek Replicon, and connected SaaS applications.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in enterprise release, environment, change, or operations management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP cloud releases, regression testing, cutover, ITIL, and production governance.
• Experience managing complex ERP integrations and multiple delivery workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or Jira.
• ITIL 4 Foundation and relevant SAP certifications or learning credentials.
