Job Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust security architectures for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Automate security processes to ensure consistent policy enforcement across all environments.
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Provide training and guidance to teams on secure coding practices and cloud security principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in DevOps and cloud security roles.
• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with security tools for vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection, and configuration management.
• Solid understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks).
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar are preferred.

Technologies & Tools

The Cloud Security DevOps Engineer will work extensively with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to: AWS or Azure security services, Terraform for infrastructure as code, Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration, CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI, and security tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and Snyk. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef is also beneficial.
