Job Overview

The Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Senior Engineer at myGwork will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure that meets high availability standards.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and establish automated responses to systemic failures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that new features are reliable and scalable.
• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure uptime and performance metrics are met.
• Participate in incident response and post-mortem reviews to continuously enhance system reliability.
• Advocate for and implement best practices in cloud operations and site reliability.
• Oversee capacity planning and performance optimization processes.
• Documentation of processes and training of team members on SRE methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps role.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in high-pressure environments.

Technologies & Tools

The Cloud SRE Senior Engineer will work with an array of technologies and tools including cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), monitoring and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab), container orchestration tools (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible).
