Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate, analyze, and underwrite complex excess & surplus lines insurance submissions.

• Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to finalize coverage terms and conditions.
• Monitor and manage an existing portfolio of accounts, ensuring appropriate risk management strategies are implemented.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform underwriting decisions.
• Prepare and present underwriting proposals and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial underwriting, specifically within the E&S sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional designations such as AU, CPCU, or similar are preferred but not mandatory.
