Commodity COST ANALYST is highly responsible & trusted profession, it involves following contribution to the organisation.

Control the cost and optimize the technical specifications of the parts in the commodity
Develop, create & update particular commodity’s techno economical database for the costing tools.
Sustain & develop a good level of cross functional and cultural relationship with all customers.

Major Responsibilities

Costing and reporting of the mechanisms (Window regulator, Wiping, Washing,Hinge) based on Milestones of each Project ( Bottom costing, RFQ, COST, F4, IP/PB )
Responsible to follow Costing guide line and Ref. data & support to Update CGL
Capitalization of product and process data pertaining to the Commodity ( SQ, Infosite, Cost reports etc)
To give proposals for cost reduction opportunities in the soft trims parts manufacturing processes.
Challenge the suppliers / Stakeholder with proper technical and economic background explanations.
Visit Supplier and collect Required Costing information’s and identify opportunities for the cost reduction improvements.
Support Digital Transformation of Process and Operations
New process improvement and solution for upstream projects.

Requirements

Deliverables of costing & others should be with good quality and timely delivery (Risk Management)
Communication and Interaction with Internal and External Entities (Communication Management)
Following the methodology of performing different activities for different customers (Change Management)
Intimating the necessary availability well in advance or at the right time (Workload and Workforce Management – Requesting and Applying of Leaves.)
Training and Skills development through entity / external
