Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. As the first point of contact for pet owners, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming environment for both clients and their beloved animals.

Duties

Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations and treatments when necessary.
Provide information on pet care, preventive health measures, and available services to clients.
Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless workflow within the clinic.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is a must. ( Atleast 1-2 years prior veterinary reception experience)
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and basic veterinary terminology is beneficial.
Skills in animal handling, including restraint techniques for various species (dogs & cats).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathize with pet owners.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing high-quality care.
Proficiency in basic computer skills for managing appointments and records.
