Job Description

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

About The Company

Compass Health Network is a community-focused health care organization committed to helping people access the care and support they need. Its integrated care model brings together services such as primary care, dental care, behavioral health, and specialty care. By connecting patients with a range of services, the organization works to make health care more accessible and coordinated. Every interaction contributes to the patient experience, and the front office plays an important role in helping patients feel welcomed, respected, and supported.

About The Role

Compass Health Network is seeking a friendly, organized Customer Relations Specialist (CRS) to serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients, visitors, and callers. In this patient-facing role, you will support the daily operations of the clinic and help create an efficient, positive experience from arrival through departure. You will coordinate front-desk processes for appointments across multiple care services, maintain accurate patient information, and help patients understand and complete necessary administrative steps.

This position is well suited to someone who enjoys helping others, communicates clearly, and stays composed in a busy environment. You will work alongside an integrated care team and may travel to nearby clinic locations as needed. The regular schedule is Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. At least one year of customer service experience is required. Candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills, a professional and welcoming manner, and the ability to provide attentive service in a high-traffic setting. Basic computer skills, accurate data-entry ability, and a strong eye for detail are important for managing patient information and completing front-office tasks.

A valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage that meets agency-established minimum requirements are also required. Applicants must be willing to travel locally between clinic sites when needed. The ability to protect confidential information, follow established procedures, and interact respectfully with people from varied backgrounds is essential.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and visitors, answer questions, and provide courteous, helpful service throughout each interaction. Manage appointment check-in and check-out for primary care, dental, behavioral health, and specialty services. Verify insurance coverage and demographic details, collect co-pays, and complete or organize required paperwork. Answer incoming calls, direct messages to the appropriate team members, and assist with appointment scheduling.

Enter and update information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) and other systems used for clinic operations. Keep the reception desk and waiting areas clean, organized, and inviting. Communicate relevant information clearly with colleagues to support smooth patient flow and coordinated service. Follow clinic procedures, maintain strict patient confidentiality, and comply with HIPAA requirements. Adapt to changing priorities while contributing to a dependable and welcoming front-office environment.

Benefits

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to an integrated care team and make a meaningful difference in patients’ experiences at the clinic. You will develop practical experience supporting a range of health services while building relationships with patients and colleagues. The established weekday schedule provides a consistent workweek, with hours set from Monday through Friday. Details about compensation and any additional benefits are available through the hiring team.

Equal Opportunity

Compass Health Network is committed to providing an inclusive and respectful workplace. Employment decisions are made in accordance with applicable laws and without discrimination based on legally protected characteristics. The organization values a diverse workforce and encourages qualified applicants who are committed to respectful, patient-centered service to apply.
