Job Description

About The Company

Danbury Public Schools CT serves learners and families in the Danbury community through public education and adult learning opportunities. Within the district, WERACE Adult Education supports adults as they pursue educational, career, and personal goals. Effective program planning depends on reliable information about learner participation, progress, and outcomes. Data analysis helps the program understand what is working, identify areas for improvement, and meet applicable reporting obligations. Danbury Public Schools CT is seeking a Data Analyst to contribute to this work through accurate analysis, clear reporting, and collaboration with program leadership.

About The Role

The Data Analyst will support WERACE Adult Education in a remote, part-time capacity. This role focuses on reviewing and interpreting data from CASAS, LACES, surveys, and assessments, then turning findings into useful reports and other clear data outputs. The analyst will help program staff understand learner results and broader program trends, supporting informed planning and evaluation.

This position is suited to a thoughtful, adaptable professional who can work independently while maintaining productive communication with leadership and colleagues. The analyst will organize information carefully, communicate findings in an accessible way, and contribute to processes that support instructional improvement. Attention to detail and a responsible approach to confidential education data are important, as the work contributes to program operations and federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

Candidates should bring experience or demonstrated ability in data analysis, reporting, research, evaluation, or a related field. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with structured information and reviewing data from multiple sources, including assessments, surveys, and program systems. Strong analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to identify patterns, check data for consistency, and explain results clearly to audiences who may not have a technical background.

Applicants should be organized, dependable, and able to manage part-time responsibilities in a remote work setting. Effective written and verbal communication skills are important for sharing findings and collaborating with program leadership. A careful, discreet approach to handling sensitive information is expected. Familiarity with adult education, CASAS, LACES, program evaluation, or grant reporting would be helpful. Candidates should be prepared to learn relevant processes and follow applicable data-handling and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Analyze CASAS, LACES, survey, and assessment data to identify meaningful trends and inform program planning. Prepare accurate, clearly organized data outputs and reports for WERACE Adult Education leadership and other relevant stakeholders. Review source information for completeness and consistency, flag questions or discrepancies, and communicate them to the appropriate colleagues.

Support program evaluation by helping staff assess learner progress, participation, and outcomes. Translate findings into practical information that can contribute to instructional improvement and program decision-making. Assist with data preparation and reporting related to grant activities and applicable federal and state requirements. Collaborate with leadership to understand reporting needs, clarify questions, and provide analysis in a timely manner. Maintain organized work practices and exercise discretion when handling learner and program information.

Benefits

This remote, part-time opportunity offers the chance to contribute analytical skills to adult education in a public school setting. The work connects data analysis with practical outcomes, including program planning, evaluation, reporting, and instructional improvement. The role also provides opportunities to collaborate with program leadership and support services for adult learners in the Danbury community. Employment details, including compensation, scheduling, and any additional benefits, are determined by Danbury Public Schools CT and can be confirmed during the hiring process.

Equal Opportunity

Danbury Public Schools CT is committed to providing equal employment opportunity. Applicants should be considered based on their qualifications and the requirements of the position, without discrimination as prohibited by applicable law. Candidates who need an accommodation during the application or hiring process are encouraged to contact the district through its established channels.
