Data Engineer

This employer is a state organization seeking a Principal Data Engineer to support enterprise data integration and analytics initiatives. This is a contract opportunity focused on designing and maintaining scalable data infrastructure.

The Role

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and cloud-based data platforms.

• Build and optimize lakehouse architecture to support enterprise data integration and analytics.

• Implement data governance, data quality, and data management best practices.

• Manage cloud resources and automate data operations using DataOps practices.

• Provide mentorship to junior data engineers and database administrators.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of professional experience with data engineering, data integration, data warehousing, and cloud computing.

• 5 years of experience developing data pipelines using Python.

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing lakehouse architecture.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualifying experience.

What's On Offer

• Hourly pay rate of $100 – $104.

• A 12+ month contract engagement.
