Job Description
About The Company
At Upstart, we are united by a mission that matters: to radically reduce the cost and complexity of borrowing for all Americans. We leverage creativity, experimentation, and advanced artificial intelligence to reshape access to credit, empowering millions to move forward financially with clarity and confidence. As the leading AI lending marketplace, Upstart partners with banks and credit unions to expand access to affordable credit through technology that is both radically intelligent and deeply human.
Our platform processes over one million predictions per borrower using more than 3,000 signals, enabling smarter and fairer lending decisions for millions of customers. We are proudly digital-first, offering most employees the flexibility to work from wherever they thrive, while fostering in-person collaboration through team onsite events and planning sessions. With offices in Columbus, Austin, the Bay Area, and New York City, Upstart supports a dynamic, inclusive, and innovative work environment dedicated to meaningful impact.
About The Role
We are seeking a Marketing Measurement Lead to join our Marketing Science team within Upstart’s Growth, Product, and Ops Analytics division. This team collaborates closely with growth marketing across channels such as direct mail, paid search and social, video, mobile, email, brand campaigns, and lending partnerships. As the Marketing Measurement Lead, you will own the approach to evaluating the effectiveness of our marketing spend, answering critical questions about channel incrementality, attribution, and budget allocation.
Your expertise in causal inference and marketing measurement will guide key stakeholders in marketing, finance, and product to make data-driven decisions on budget distribution. You will design and interpret incrementality tests, apply causal methods when experiments are not feasible, and develop attribution models that fairly assign credit across multiple marketing channels. Additionally, you will mentor analysts and automate reporting processes to focus on insights and recommendations that drive business growth.
Qualifications
We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law.
