About The Role

As a Data Scientist, you will combine data engineering, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and applied machine learning. You will design and optimize data pipelines, build predictive and prescriptive models, and develop interactive reporting solutions. Microsoft Fabric will be a central part of the analytics environment, bringing together OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Eventstream, Spark notebooks, semantic models, and Power BI. You will also help stakeholders access trusted data through governed, reusable analytics assets and present findings to technical and business audiences, including leadership.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is required. Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a related role, along with strong skills in Power BI, SQL, data modeling, and dashboard development. Proficiency in Python and experience working with large enterprise datasets are also required, as is experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.

Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with Fabric Lakehouse, Spark, Data Factory, Real-Time Analytics, and semantic models; familiarity with machine learning frameworks and core AI/ML concepts; and knowledge of pricing, supply chain, inventory, wholesale, or distribution analytics. Experience with REST APIs, Kafka or Azure Event Hubs, event streaming, XML/JSON processing, or cloud data warehouse modernization is an advantage. Microsoft certifications in Azure, Power BI, Fabric, or data engineering are a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical solutions, including Direct Lake semantic models, paginated reports, executive scorecards, and Copilot-enabled experiences. Build KPI-driven reporting for pricing, point-of-sale trends, inventory, supply chain performance, customer purchasing behavior, and branch or distribution center operations. Create governed semantic models, curated datasets, and reusable reporting assets that enable self-service analytics.

Develop predictive and prescriptive models for dynamic pricing, sales forecasting, demand planning, customer segmentation, lost-sales analysis, and inventory replenishment. Apply Python, Spark notebooks, Fabric Data Science workloads, and Azure AI or OpenAI capabilities to analytics and AI initiatives, which may include conversational BI, sentiment analysis, speech-to-text analytics, and agentic AI use cases. Ingest and transform data from Oracle, SQL Server, APIs, SaaS platforms, log files, and streaming sources. Partner with business and technology teams to clarify requirements, communicate insights, and advance enterprise data modernization.
