We're looking for a talented Database Administrator (Advanced Level) to join a premier state transportation agency in Tallahassee, FL!

This is a fully on-site, long-term contract opportunity where you'll play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing enterprise-level database infrastructure that powers mission-critical transportation systems across the state.

What you'll work with:

✅ DB2 for z/OS — administration, performance management & point-in-time recovery

✅ Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server — application integration & performance tuning

✅ Mainframe Technologies — JCL, z/OS, COBOL, ISPF, RACF, and CICS

✅ Modern Tools — SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, Azure, and GIS environments

This is your chance to work at the intersection of legacy mainframe expertise and modern cloud/relational platforms — a rare and highly impactful role!

Ideal candidates will have:

• 12+ years of combined DBA experience across DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server

• Deep knowledge of z/OS integrated environments and mainframe operations

• Experience with disaster recovery, performance tuning, and database monitoring

• Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor technical staff

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Bonus points for familiarity with state transportation or financial management application environments!
