Job Description

About The Company

OVHcloud is a global cloud provider and a leader in Europe, serving 1.6 million customers in more than 140 countries. The company operates over 500,000 servers across 46 data centers on four continents. For more than 20 years, OVHcloud has developed an integrated operating model that spans server design, data center construction, and the management of its fiber-optic network. This approach supports high-performance cloud solutions with predictable pricing, data sovereignty, and a focus on responsible resource use and sustainability. At OVHcloud, you can contribute to meaningful projects, take ownership of your work, and collaborate with colleagues who are building the cloud infrastructure of tomorrow.

About The Role

OVHcloud is seeking an Automation and Tooling Developer to design, build, and maintain automation solutions that improve business efficiency and strengthen operational capabilities. You will partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand needs and deliver practical tools, scripts, and workflows aligned with business goals. This role contributes to the evolution of OVHcloud’s DevOps practices, supports technical excellence, and helps ensure automation processes are reliable and well documented. The position offers autonomy, management support, and opportunities to explore new technologies and make a tangible impact. The base pay range is $120,000 to $145,000, depending on relevant experience.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered. Candidates should bring at least five years of experience in software development and automation, with strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, or Java. Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform is required, along with knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git.

Qualified candidates will have full-stack development experience; familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker; and a solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, Bash, databases, and data integration. You should be comfortable testing, debugging, and improving production tools, and have demonstrated the ability to create clear technical documentation. Hands-on familiarity with AI and large language model capabilities and limitations is valuable, as is curiosity and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and project-management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust automation tools and scripts using appropriate programming languages and frameworks. Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, clarify operational challenges, and deliver solutions that support business priorities. Integrate automation with existing APIs, databases, enterprise applications, and other systems while maintaining dependable interoperability.

Assess tool accuracy, performance, security, and reliability through structured testing and debugging. Diagnose automation issues and resolve them promptly, communicating status and relevant technical details to stakeholders. Create and maintain accessible documentation for tools, scripts, workflows, and processes. Advance DevOps adoption by supporting CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure provisioning with technologies such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform. Share technical guidance, encourage learning across teams, and apply AI-assisted tools thoughtfully, helping identify where they are useful and where they are not. Monitor industry developments and recommend practices that improve the organization’s automation strategy.

Benefits

Employees may qualify for hybrid work and can access flexible hours, paid time off, and sick leave to support work-life balance. OVHcloud offers training and professional development opportunities to help employees expand their skills and grow their careers. Comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, and additional well-being resources. The culture emphasizes autonomy, supportive leadership, collaboration, open exchange of ideas, meaningful work, and recognition of individual and team contributions. This position is based in a standard office environment.
