About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to provide a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates the microservices of a modernized operational system utilizing cutting-edge technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automating tasks, and managing cloud infrastructure to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This role requires hands-on experience with container orchestration, cloud platforms, and security compliance, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment. The position requires the majority of work to be performed in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) with limited work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
• 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree
• Active Top Secret clearance with polygraph and CI polygraph within the last 7 years
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python
• Experience managing and maintaining RHEL systems including patching, hardening, and compliance
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Nifi, and cloud-native logging and metrics tools
• Managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab runners and Argo CD
• Experience with AWS cloud computing platforms and associated services
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources
• Automate tasks and build tools to support deployment and operational efficiency
• Patch, harden, and ensure compliance of RHEL systems
• Install, configure, and tune performance for Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Nifi, and related tools
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deployment of applications
• Administer and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure services including EC2, Lambda, S3, and networking components
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance application performance and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues to maintain system uptime
• Work within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment adhering to security protocols
