Its platform serves global enterprises and organizations, including Intel, Canva, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the U.S. Air Force.

About the Role

LILT is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, maintain, and improve reliable software systems and infrastructure. This role involves supporting development and production environments, managing bare-metal Linux deployments, and working with cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

You will help improve the platform’s multi-region infrastructure to support low-latency performance worldwide, strengthen infrastructure security, and collaborate with engineering and research teams to deliver reliable software. The position is based out of LILT’s Washington, D.C. hub and includes a combination of remote work and on-site customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support technical operations across development and production systems.
  • Deliver infrastructure engineering projects that support company initiatives.
  • Collaborate with research and development teams to deliver software quickly and reliably.
  • Secure platform infrastructure and strengthen on-premises builds.
  • Work with engineering teams to establish, measure, and achieve service-level indicators (SLIs) and objectives (SLOs) in support of service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Execute roadmap initiatives through sprints and follow Scrum practices.
  • Introduce and implement technologies and best practices in information security, DevOps, and site reliability engineering.
  • Provide on-site support to self-managed customers.
  • Improve multi-region infrastructure configurations and support expansion into additional regions.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Docker and hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python or Bash.
  • Strong experience with a configuration management or infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tool, preferably Terraform.
  • Experience with GCP services, including Compute Engine and Shared VPC, as well as data analytics services, or equivalent services from other cloud providers.
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and maintaining high production availability.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and concepts, such as GitHub Actions.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and meet other applicable security requirements.

Security Clearance Requirements

  • An active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph is required and must be maintained throughout employment. Candidates must also satisfy other security-related requirements.

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Washington, D.C. hub.
  • Combination of remote work and on-site customer engagement.
  • On-site support for self-managed customers is required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary with the opportunity to earn on-target earnings (OTE).
  • Meaningful equity.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Flexible time off and company holidays.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Company-paid basic life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverage.
  • Paid parental leave after six months of employment.
