About the Opportunity:

The DEVOPS ENGINEER role is responsible for developing and maintaining containerized environments and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines that support the delivery of web-based census data tools. This position plays a critical part in ensuring efficient application deployment, security scanning, automated testing, and integration within cloud and on-premises environments, thereby enabling reliable and scalable data services.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with server administrators to establish containerized environments using docker or Podman
• Design, write, and maintain CI/CD pipeline definitions with GitLab/YAML to automate testing, security scanning, and deployment
• Develop and maintain custom scripts to support pipeline jobs
• Configure Linux servers and containers for application deployment
• Containerize legacy applications for on-premises Linux servers
• Document integration processes for development teams
• Provide training and communication on DevOps and containerization topics
• Troubleshoot CI/CD and cloud environment issues with administrators and developers
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Perform assigned duties

Requirements:

• Expertise in configuring GitLab DevOps for multi-team CI/CD workflows
• Experience implementing software quality, security, and vulnerability scanning tools
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services for containerized CI/CD and application deployment, including IAM policy management, ECR, Fargate, and ECS
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform
• Extensive Linux (RHEL8+) experience, including administration and shell scripting
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, C#/.NET, and Python
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a NCIC III Tier 1 background investigation and necessary security clearances
