Overview

The Staff DevOps Engineer at Stryker will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our software development and deployment processes. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to define and refine deployment strategies and application architecture.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and stability.
• Automate system provisioning and configuration management using industry-standard tools.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using platforms such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Deploy and manage container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the development process.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures throughout the deployment cycle.
• Mentor junior team members and promote DevOps best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps, platform engineering, or systems administration role.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK stack.
• Strong knowledge of networking and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
