Job Description
About The Company
EDI Staffing supports organizations in finding technology professionals who help businesses build, maintain, and improve their software and systems. The company is seeking a DevOps Engineer to contribute to reliable software delivery and dependable cloud operations. In this role, you will help engineering teams release features efficiently while maintaining the stability, security, and scalability of the environments that support them.
About The Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will design and improve the tools, processes, and infrastructure that enable repeatable software deployments. You will work closely with software engineering and other technical teams to automate delivery workflows, manage Microsoft Azure environments, and improve monitoring and incident response. Your work will support development, staging, and production systems, helping teams deliver changes with confidence and respond effectively when issues arise.
This position is suited to a collaborative, detail-oriented professional who values automation, continuous delivery, and operational excellence. You will use deployment and reliability data, including DORA metrics, to identify opportunities for improvement. You will also help integrate security practices into infrastructure and release workflows, balancing delivery speed with responsible system management.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include at least five years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related role, along with hands-on experience using Microsoft Azure services and Azure DevOps. Candidates should understand how to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates, and scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python is expected.
You should also have a solid foundation in networking, security, and system administration, as well as familiarity with monitoring and logging platforms such as Grafana, ELK, or Azure Monitor. A two-year degree in computer science or a related field is listed as required. A four-year degree is preferred. Preferred qualifications include experience with serverless architectures, microservices, APIs, Agile, DevSecOps, or ITIL practices; Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-400 or AZ-104; and three to five years of software development experience. Experience in the distribution industry is also considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that make software releases fast, safe, and repeatable. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code, and manage Azure resources to support availability, performance, security, and growth. Use Azure DevOps for version control, build and release pipelines, and project tracking.
Monitor system health across development, staging, and production environments, investigate potential issues, and help resolve them before they affect users. Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment strategies, observability, and incident response. Track and use Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate, and Mean Time to Recovery to guide practical improvements. Apply security best practices throughout infrastructure management and deployment workflows, and contribute to stable, scalable operations as systems evolve.
Benefits
Benefits and employment details are provided by EDI Staffing during the hiring process. The role offers the opportunity to work on cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and operational improvements that directly support software delivery. You will collaborate with engineering teams, apply modern DevOps practices, and contribute to systems designed for reliability and continued growth. Specific compensation, benefits eligibility, and work arrangements should be confirmed with the hiring team.
Equal Opportunity
EDI Staffing is committed to a fair and respectful hiring process. Applicants should be evaluated based on their relevant qualifications, experience, skills, and ability to perform the responsibilities of the role. Reasonable accommodation may be available to support individuals with disabilities during the application process and in performing essential job functions. Candidates are encouraged to discuss accommodation needs with the hiring team.
