Job Overview

The DevOps Engineer specializing in Terraform at NTT DATA North America will play a pivotal role in establishing and optimizing the development and operational workflows across our cloud infrastructure. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) leveraging Terraform to automate deployments across development, QA, and production environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and processes to streamline code releases and enhance deployment efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to establish best practices in cloud infrastructure management.
• Perform regular system audits, security assessments, and updates to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Documentation of all deployments and maintenance activities to support knowledge sharing and compliance requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely resolution for production issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps practices including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Expertise in Terraform and its module creation for cloud services.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficient with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Technologies & Tools

In this role, candidates will work extensively with a variety of technologies, including but not limited to Terraform for infrastructure automation, Jenkins or GitLab for CI/CD pipelines, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure for cloud computing infrastructure. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration will also be beneficial. Additional tools such as Git for version control and monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana may also be utilized in daily tasks.
