Job Overview

Tech Spot Consulting LLC is seeking a proficient DevOps Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in automating and optimizing our development processes, enhancing reliability and performance through the construction of cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This position involves collaborating closely with developers, system operators, and other IT staff to help manage coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring applications and services within our cloud infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across all environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance application integration and performance.
• Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud resources.
• Ensure high system availability by implementing redundant solutions and failover strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members in the adoption of with DevOps practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP services and technologies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role, preferably with expertise in Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and services offered by GCP.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Understanding of network concepts, security protocols, and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Technologies & Tools

The DevOps Engineer will primarily work with Google Cloud Platform services such as Google Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Functions.
