Zimmer Biomet is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Principal Software Developer to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of applications.
• Collaborate with software engineers and system administrators to build and maintain infrastructure as code.
• Monitor applications through various performance metrics and implement improvements.
• Lead incident response for system outages and work towards continuous improvement.
• Develop and enforce security practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members in DevOps practices and methodologies.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and assess system needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in software development and DevOps practices.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent understanding of Linux/Unix administration and networking concepts.
• Solid foundation in various source control management systems, such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Technologies & Tools

The DevOps Principal Software Developer will work with various technologies and tools including but not limited to: AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Git, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. A familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as Jira will also be beneficial for efficient project management and collaboration.
