DevOps / CI/CD Consultant – Data Platforms

Must Haves

• 7–10 years of experience in DevOps Engineering
• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD solutions
• Strong experience implementing CI/CD specifically within data engineering and analytics environments
• Experience supporting CI/CD across platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, or similar data technologies
• Experience automating deployments and promoting data pipelines, code, and configurations across environments
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps and/or Git-based CI/CD processes
• Experience assessing existing CI/CD environments, identifying gaps, and developing an improved CI/CD strategy
• Ability to work both strategically and hands-on with engineering teams
• Strong communication skills with experience documenting solutions and providing knowledge transfer

Pluses

• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience
• Qlik and/or MicroStrategy experience
• Experience working within Azure-based data environments

Day to Day

An employer is looking for a DevOps / CI/CD Consultant to join their Data Analytics and Data Platform team. The organization currently has some CI/CD capabilities in place, but many processes are still manual and do not consistently support all of the team's data platforms.

This consultant will initially perform discovery of the current environment, identify gaps and manual processes, and help define a more standardized CI/CD strategy.

From there, you will work hands-on with the team to design and implement automated CI/CD processes across platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, and other technologies within the data ecosystem.

You will also help establish best practices around source control, deployment automation, environment promotion, testing, and release management to create a more scalable and consistent approach across the organization.

In addition to implementation, you will document the solution and provide knowledge transfer to technical leads and engineering teams so they can maintain and expand the CI/CD environment moving forward.
