Overview

As a DevOps/SRE Engineer - Cloud Operations at BYT, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our cloud infrastructure and streamlining operations by implementing DevOps best practices. Your responsibilities will include managing cloud resources, automating deployment processes, and ensuring system reliability and availability. You will work closely with development and product teams to facilitate continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, ultimately contributing to the delivery of high-quality software products in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate seamless code integration and deployment.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, ensuring optimal uptime of critical applications and services.
• Automate operational tasks through scripting and configuration management tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and staging environments.
• Manage cloud service providers, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost optimization.
• Implement security best practices to safeguard cloud infrastructure and data.
• Participate in on-call rotations to address critical incidents and provide timely resolution.
• Document infrastructure processes and procedures to ensure team knowledge sharing and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and cloud security practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

The role of DevOps/SRE Engineer - Cloud Operations at BYT will encompass the use of various technologies and tools including, but not limited to, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Git, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
