- Maintain deep, active coding engagement by designing, writing, and shipping production-grade software, directly tackling complex production bottlenecks, and engineering robust remediations for technical debt.
- Establish and enforce standards across the full security lifecycle, from penetration testing, infiltration, and vulnerability prioritization through managed remediation and safe containment controls.
- Build and scale reusable offensive assets, agent frameworks, and developer accelerators (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, and Lovable where permitted), incorporating automated evaluation harnesses, regression testing, and human-in-the-loop workflows to maximize pod velocity.
- Champion enterprise-grade context engineering, red-teaming, golden evaluation datasets, and observability to deliver secure, auditable, and resilient production deployments.
- Lead high-impact working sessions with C-suite stakeholders (CIO, CISO, CFO) to translate technical findings into measurable risk reduction, while mentoring Managers, Senior Associates, and pod leads to build talent density and sustain delivery quality.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.
- Minimum ten years of recent, hands-on offensive security experience (penetration testing, red teaming, vulnerability research, or exploit development) coupled with engineering capability to build fixes, remediate legacy code, and resolve architectural debt.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated expertise building, hardening, and operating scalable systems in live enterprise cloud environments across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (GCP), with strong proficiency in modern languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or Java.
- Deep hands-on experience utilizing modern AI coding harnesses, frontier models (including frontier cyber models), agentic workflows, and emerging tool protocols (e.g., Model Context Protocol); proven ability to implement prompt engineering, evaluation loops, and containment safeguards.
- 5+ years of hands-on technical leadership and mentorship experience, with a product mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity to drive high-velocity outcomes (founder or early-stage startup experience is a strong plus).
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical risk transparently to both engineering teams and senior executives, supported by sound judgment regarding ethics, client confidentiality, and legal authorizations.
- Demonstrated technical portfolio (shipped systems, GitHub repository, CVEs, or certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, OSCE3, or GXPN).
- Ability to travel domestically as needed.
