Director of Communications

Role Description The Director of Communications is a full-time, on-site role based in Dunwoody, GA, responsible for overseeing all internal and external communications for Dunwoody Country Club Inc. This role develops and implements comprehensive communication strategies to support member engagement, brand consistency, and organizational objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and producing newsletters, email campaigns, website content, social media updates, and event promotions that reflect the club’s mission and offerings. The Director of Communications collaborates with leadership and department heads to ensure clear, timely, and aligned messaging for programs, services, and special events. This role also manages communication calendars, maintains media and vendor relationships, oversees design and production of marketing materials, and tracks performance metrics to refine communication efforts.
Qualifications

• Ability to develop and execute strategic communications plans, including experience in Strategic Communications and Communication.
• Demonstrated expertise in Public Relations and Media Relations, with the ability to represent the club to local media and community stakeholders.
• Proficiency in drafting, editing, and distributing Press Releases and other formal announcements.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for digital, print, and social media channels.
• Experience managing brand voice, visual identity, and content across multiple platforms.
• Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting to senior leadership.
• Solid organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Prior experience in hospitality, private clubs, recreation, or related industries is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
