Driver

This role involves operating tractor-trailer combinations to pick up and deliver freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting sales efforts.

Key duties include conducting pre-trip safety inspections, hooking/unhooking trailers, handling freight with equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, securing cargo, and verifying documentation.

Additional responsibilities encompass communicating with dispatch and customers, promoting customer service, and possibly performing roadside tasks such as tire chaining.

Qualifications include a valid Class A CDL with necessary endorsements, recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course, a clean Motor Vehicle Record, and compliance with DOT regulations.

Skills required are basic math, communication, physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and the capacity to work independently or in teams.

Working conditions may involve driving in various weather and exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials.

Compensation ranges from $32.90 to $38.08 per hour, with additional mileage pay for linehaul duties.
